Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and maintain short- and medium-term mine plans in line with production targets and the overall mining strategy.
Prepare weekly, monthly and rolling mine plans and schedules.
Develop practical mining sequences and schedules to optimise ore extraction, waste stripping and equipment utilisation.
Plan and coordinate drilling, loading, hauling and material movement requirements.
Ensure appropriate ore and waste allocation and manage planning requirements relating to ROM stockpiles and plant feed.
Monitor actual mining progress and production performance against approved mine plans.
Analyse and report on variances between planned and actual production and recommend corrective actions where required.
Incorporate geological, survey and production data into mine plans and designs.
Update mine plans based on actual mining progress, changing geological conditions and operational requirements.
