Overview
Job Title: Millwright – Weir Minerals, Isando, Onsite
Purpose of Role: The position is responsible for the electrical (light and heavy current) and mechanical repair and maintenance of all machinery and equipment on the Weir Isando site, including foundry, machine shop and rubber plant.
Key Responsibilities Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to zero harm and support the development of a world-class safety culture. Production: Repair and maintenance of all plant and machinery within the facility; attend to plant breakdowns; assist other maintenance artisans with complex fault finding; ensure all scheduled preventative maintenance is adhered to; perform daily inspections of allocated machines as per the maintenance plan. Basic PLC programming and automation of machines and systems in factories.
