Microsoft Purview Engineer – Data Governance Specialist
Responsible for implementing, configuring, and managing Microsoft Purview to enable enterprise-wide data governance, data discovery, classification, compliance, and risk management across Microsoft 365, Azure, and hybrid data sources.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Governance Catalog
- Implement Microsoft Purview Data Catalog for structured and unstructured data
- Configure scans for Azure, on‑prem, and SaaS data sources
- Build and maintain business glossary, metadata management, and lineage
- Enable data discovery and self‑service analytics across the organization
- Information Protection & Compliance
- Configure and manage Sensitivity Labels (MIP)
- Implement Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies across M365 workloads
- Support Insider Risk Management, eDiscovery (Standard/Premium), and Audit
