Mental Health Lead Practitioner

This Band 6 mental health nurse will work as an integrated part of the care pathway, predominantly based in the Acute Liaison Mental Health Services (ALMHS) at Kettering General Hospital with occasional travel to Northampton General Hospital. The role provides specialist mental health assessment and brief interventions to support safe discharge, prevent unnecessary ED attendance and reduce mental health admissions within acute hospitals. It collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, community services, emergency, police and third‑sector partners to offer proactive support and alternative pathways for patients in crisis. The job operates on a 24/7 shift pattern, requiring out‑of‑hours support across the county.
