**Position Purpose**
The primary job responsibility for the Medication History Pharmacy Technician is to obtain and document in the electronic order management system (Meditech), in a timely manner, the medication and allergy histories for patients admitted to inpatient status through the emergency department. This information will be used by physicians and other health care providers to determine treatment plans, and will provide the basis for medication orders during and following the hospital stay.
