About the role:
The Medical Advisory Unit provides expert occupational health services and advice to support the operational and recruitment activities of Victoria Police. The core business of MAU is:
* Conducting pre-employment medical assessments for police recruits, PSOs and PCOs.
* Direction to Attend the Police Medical Officer to assess members' fitness for duty.
* Drug and Alcohol Workplace testing of Victoria Police members.
* Specialist Group Medicals as per statutory requirements.
* Medical Advice Line – 24/7 service that advises and supports members potentially exposed to blood borne viruses and other infectious diseases.
