Summary About the Position: Serves as a specialist and national agency expert in mechanical equipment and systems found in hydroelectric powerhouses and large pumping plants. Responsibilities Serves as a specialist in the theory and design of mechanical equipment and systems used in hydroelectric powerhouses and large pumping plants. Directs and monitors a team of lower graded engineers and technicians in the preparation of studies, and plans and specifications for the procurement and installation of mechanical equipment and systems. Responsible for the development, negotiating and monitoring of HDC's scope of work, budget and schedule for the life of the project. Performs special technical studies and analysis of mechanical equipment and systems where past practices do not provide adequate guidance or new innovations require additional developmental work to determine final design features.
