Mechanic Diesel - Fixed Term Contract

Job Description

Work is allocated by means of a service sheet. Maintenance includes stripping the engine, identifying defective parts, ordering new parts, reassembling, and test driving the vehicle. The service sheet is signed off.

To maintain and repair company vehicles and ensure they are in working order.

Responsibilities

• Determine work to be done
• Execute stripping
• Perform administrative tasks
• Reassemble vehicle
• Perform housekeeping tasks
• Stand-in for Supervisor (Senior Artisan/ Working Foreman only)
• SHEQ Responsibilities

Skills, Experience & Education

• Grade 12 Certificate
• Qualified Trade Test - Mechanic
• 2-3 years mechanical experience
• Valid code 08 drivers license
• Valid code 14 drivers license with PDP - would be advantageous
