Job Description
Leggett & Platt is looking for a CONTRACT Materials Planner to order the right raw materials and components in advance of production while minimizing inventory. As exceptions occur to the plan, this position is responsible for identifying those issues, creating a plan, and taking action to restore normal operations and minimize the impact of the disruption.
Key Responsibilities
- Material planning or other operations/supply chain experience
- Large organization experience and use of ERP/MRP, Oracle, Microsoft Office and Access (preferred)
- 3‑5 years of related experience within an ISO/TS16949 manufacturing environment
- Problem solving and ability to manage conflict and multiple priorities
- Good organizational and interpersonal skills
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Team player
- Computer and system proficiency
