Materials Handler (Fork Lift Operator)

Summary This position is located in the Architect of the Capitol, Senate Office Buildings. Seeking an experienced, licensed forklift operator to operate a forklift to transport compressed bales of cardboard, magazines, newspapers, books and other materials compressed by a baling machine. The forklift operator will also receive and unload incoming vendor shipments and assists with disposal of waste materials. Responsibilities This is a night shift position and the tour of duty is: 9:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Monday (night) to Saturday (morning). This is an Essential-Employee Position. The employee will be required to report to work during emergencies AND inclement weather situations. Work schedule may require some occasionally mandatory overtime on holidays AND weekends.
