Job Description
The Material Handler is responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, load and unload materials and production within the manufacturing facility.
Responsibility
- Safely operate forklifts to move materials, products and equipment throughout the manufacturing facility
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and storage areas, ensuring that materials are handled with care
- Transport raw materials and packing to production lines and finished goods to designated storage or shipping areas
- Empty scrap metal bins as required
- Ensure materials are properly stacked, secured and stored to prevent damage or accidents
- Enter shipping and receiving information into applicable computer software and programs as required
- Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations and other safety standards
