Manufacturing systems engineer

The purpose of this position is to support the Business Unit as the on-site representative for manufacturing projects and manufacturing/production systems support. This position combines the responsibilities of a traditional systems engineer with a manufacturing engineer.

Support various BU initiatives (capital projects, NPD, cost savings).

Improve manufacturing system design and efficiency to drive lower cost. Process improvement through lean manufacturing methodologies. Assist BU product engineering as on-site representative for communication of issues. Assist with New Product Development runoff and launch including creation of production work instructions and support of developing the quality control plan. Create and maintain material master, BOM’s and routers for new and revised materials in SAP. Submit EC requests as needed. Validate and maintain router times for all product lines.
