Manager, Specialty Solutions - Construction

About the role

We’re looking for a Manager, Specialty Solutions – Construction to lead a high‑performing team, develop profitable business, and achieve corporate and divisional objectives across the Western, Ontario & Atlantic portfolios.

Responsibilities

• Build a strong book of profitable business while auditing policies to ensure adherence to company standards.
• Coach underwriters and assist in negotiating with brokers on larger opportunities.
• Train brokers and underwriting staff on underwriting matters.
• Communicate regularly with key broker contacts on accounts, plans and results.
• Collaborate with the Business Development Team to reinforce broker portfolio performance.
• Manage employee performance and contribute to the salary review process.
