Manager, Regional Dry Container Flow Planning & Steering

Responsibilities

• Manage imbalances and steer Hapag-Lloyd’s global standard container fleet on regional level by planning empty repositionings and conducting bookings for empty shipments.
• Define and implement measures to increase the utilization of Hapag-Lloyd’s container fleet, considering fleet and repositioning costs and generated contribution levels.
• Ensure optimal utilization of available vessel capacities for the repositioning of empty containers in cooperation with Trade Management, Network, and Regional Operations.
• Plan dedicated vessels to evacuate or supply empty containers in cooperation with Chartering, Network, Trade Management and Regional Operations.
• Analyze large sets of operational and financial data using different analytical tools.
• Prepare management presentations and decision memos, conduct regular logistics meetings.
