We are accepting applications for a permanent full-time Manager of Development Planning to join our team. Reporting to the General Manager of Planning and Development Services, the primary responsibilities of this role include:
Leading the delivery of current land use planning and development application services for the CVRD's electoral areas, ensuring compliance with legislation, bylaws and Board priorities.Providing leadership, coaching and direction to a team of professional planning staff while fostering a collaborative, high-performing and customer-focused work environment.Overseeing the review and processing of complex development applications, including Official Community Plan and zoning amendments, development permits, subdivision referrals and related planning matters.Providing strategic planning advice and preparing reports and recommendations for senior leadership, the CVRD Board, committees and commissions.B...
