Malt Quality Technician

Grouse Malt House is seeking an experienced, motivated, flexible, and multi-talented Quality technician. This role, as part of the Grouse production team, requires passion for craft malting and being involved in a fast-paced, growing company.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Quality

• Maintain and continuously improve incoming raw grain movements: receiving into inventory software, traceability, food safety, and quality sampling analysis.
• Lead production batch tracking system, malt, and toll processing COAs.
• Perform daily “in-process” batch quality analysis: - Knowledge and monitoring of malt batches through entire process (levels, temperatures, etc.). - Recording process data and NOTES on how the grain looks, smells, and tastes. - “Release” production batches from quality analysis into packaging activities.
