The Lower Heart Water Board is seeking a dependable and skilled Facilities & Levee Maintenance Technician to help us maintain the integrity of our levee system and related facilities.
This part-time role is ideal for a self-starter who enjoys hands-on work, appreciates variety in their day, and values serving their community in a meaningful way. Hours will vary based on seasonal needs and weather conditions.
What You’ll Do:
You'll work closely with the Lower Heart Water Board and key partners like the Corps of Engineers to:
+ Conduct annual inspections of the levee and confined spaces (manholes)
+ Maintain and operate valves, pumps, and motorized equipment (mower, skid steer, front-end loader, etc.)
+ Patrol the dike for debris and safety concerns
+ Perform seasonal maintenance: mowing, trimming, weeding, snow r...
