Maintenance Worker

Summary This position will be assigned to the JBSA Lackland Lodging Facilities. This is a regular part-time category position with guaranteed 20 hours per week, may work up to 40hrs/week. Employees appointed to regular category positions are eligible for benefits. Must be able to frequently lift objects weighing up to 40 pounds unassisted. Position requires frequent exposure to grease, dirt, fumes, and possible cuts, bruises and climate extremes. Responsibilities Ensures guests rooms are in good working order. Addresses issues and performs minor construction and repair on existing structures involving plumbing, painting, HVAC and drywall repair. Responds to guest requests for maintenance, diagnosing and repairing issues related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting and drywall repair. Maintains the cleanliness and functionality of common areas such as lobbies, business centers and laundry areas.
