Summary
The Welder Assistant performs a variety of duties to assist the Welder under the supervision and direction of the Maintenance Supervisor.
Essential Functions
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
1. Operates a variety of tools to clean and cut metals (i.e. grinder, chop saw)
2. Uses additional equipment to cut and heat metals (i.e. oxygen/acetylene torch, plasma cutter)
3. Keeps the work area clean and organized
4. Must be able to stand between 2 – 3 hours at a time.
5. Must be willing to follow all GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) of the company which include but are not limited to: use of a hair net, use of a company approved frock, no jewelry, no nail polish or artificial nails, no shorts, no open-toed shoes, no ripped clothing or rhinestones/glitter on clothing, no ...
