Job Overview
Maintenance Operative – AASC – Preston/Flyde. Full time 37.5 hours per week, salary £27,500–£33,500 depending on experience & skills, plus Serco benefits. Full UK driving licence required. Vehicle and tools provided. Duties include caring for temporary accommodation for asylum seekers.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all requested repairs, whether reactive, proactive or pre‑planned, are carried out to required standard and within SLA deadlines.
- Manage own workflow and work within a team when necessary.
- Maintain health & safety of self and all building users during and after works have been undertaken.
- Purchase and manage materials using company account card from approved Serco suppliers only.
- Participate in out‑of‑hours on‑call duties on a rota basis (once every 8–10 weeks).
