Position
Maintenance Fitter – Further Processing Site in Thomastown. The successful candidate will be flexible with start times and willing to undertake weekend overtime when required.
Hours of Work
Full‑time role operating over the morning shift from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm.
Daily Tasks
- Attend to repairs and breakdowns of production machinery in a timely manner.
- Reduce reactive maintenance and proactively improve unplanned downtime.
- Assist in developing and introducing maintenance programs to support all internal stakeholders.
- Ensure the execution of safety standards and quality assurance practices in all repairs and maintenance activities.
- Identify and escalate animal welfare, food safety and quality issues, hazards and risks.
- Take personal responsibility to ensure livestock is treated humanely by self and others.
