**Job Description**
The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and tending sheet metal fabrication machines to produce industrial-grade steel products. Operators work with CNC-controlled equipment, including press brakes, punch presses, and folders, to cut, bend, notch, and form metal according to production specifications.
**Responsibilities**
+ Read work orders and production schedules to determine specifications such as materials to be used, locations of cutting/folding lines, and dimensions and tolerances.
+ Collaborate with other internal departments to maintain on-time production schedules.
+ Start machines, choose the correct program for the desired part, monitor operations, and record operational data.
+ Position guides, stops, holding blocks, or other fixtures to secure and direct work pieces using hand tools and measuring devices.
