Job Description
Join Lake Shore Gold's team as a Long Hole Loader/Blaster at the Bell Creek Mine in Porcupine, Ontario. This full-time role involves skilled work using explosives and performing essential blasting tasks.
This position is ideal for candidates experienced in blasting and with a commitment to safety. Located in Timmins, Ontario, you'll follow a 5-5-4 schedule with 10-hour shifts, alternating between days and nights. Your responsibilities include reading blast layouts, preparing holes, and tying in blasts using Nonel and Electronic Initiation systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Read and interpret blast layouts accurately
• Clean holes and prepare them for blasting
• Lay out detonators and boosters systematically
• Install and grout cable bolts properly
• Tie in blasts using Nonel and Electronic Initiation
Requirements:
• Experience in blasting is an asset
• Committed to safety practices in the field
• Basic UG Hard Rock Common Core certification required
