Job Description
As part of the Logistics Manager role you will lead an experienced transport team, defining the most efficient routes while reducing costs and improving vehicle & driver optimisation. You will be a people leader with a strong focus on developing your team and the transport function.
We are a data‑driven business and this role requires daily pre‑start checks on all vehicles and utilisation of the data from the checklists to improve reliability. You will also carry out stringent monitoring of container quality and ensure remedial work is carried out where required.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with driver hour rules and transport legislation at all times.
- Attend operational meetings to keep the contract current with all transport matters.
- Drive awareness in sourcing commercial opportunities.
- Manage relationships with subcontractors, reducing costs.
- Reduce downtime and increase vehicle reliability.
