LOFTER

Summary You will serve as a LOFTER in the STRUCTURAL AND FABRICATION SHOP of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF. Responsibilities You will lay out the lines of a ship to full size in various plan views and develops and constructs templates and molds. You will work from blueprints and tables of offsets, lays out full sized ship plan. You will make templates for all metal structural parts of ships, working from blueprints, tables, and mold loft floor plan. You will take ship measurements and prepares templates from actual ship layout under circumstances, as on repair and alteration, when ship changes subsequent to plans.
