Join a vibrant legal team in Vancouver as a Litigation Paralegal for a temporary 6-month role. Manage a high-volume life and health insurance litigation caseload with flexibility in a hybrid work environment.
This role requires a dedicated paralegal to support our regional department of seven lawyers. You will handle approximately 130 active litigation files, drafting pleadings, trial briefs, and engaging in negotiations. Effective communication with both remote and onsite colleagues is vital for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage 130 active litigation files for claims valued $1,000-$25,000
• Draft pleadings, demands, and evidence books for court proceedings
• Prepare trial briefs and books of authority accurately
• Negotiate payment plans for corporate overpayments
• Build trial binders for court requirements
Requirements:
• Diploma/degree in Paralegal Studies
• Experience in civil litigation and insurance law
