The purpose of this job is to fulfill the Unix/Linux Engineer position. This is a hands-on Linux/Solaris position where the individual will be responsible for overseeing and managing the design and implementation of Unix/Linux solutions. In addition, this engineer will be primarily responsible for vulnerability remediation and providing 2nd and 3rd level support for all Server issues or outages. Ensures the smooth operation of the infrastructure to provide maximum security, performance, and availability. Maintains close vendor relationships to support current technology solutions and provide roadmap strategies for all Unix systems. The candidate also must be flexible to work in 24*7 environments.
