**Job Description**
Stanford University is seeking a Life Science Research Professional 1 (100% FTE) to perform basic activities involved in research investigating meiotic chromosome organization and function. The ideal candidate will have a B.S. in Biology (or related field), and prior experience with the _C. elegans_ experimental organism and/or with immunofluorescence and/or live microscopic imaging in a cell or developmental biology context. They should have familiarity with CRISPR gene editing and PCR genotyping, and strong visual orientation and communication skills. Candidate will work as part of a team in the Department of Developmental Biology in the School of Medicine to analyze mechanisms underlying meiotic chromosome inheritance.
**Duties include:**
+ Apply the theories and methods of genetics, genome engineering, cytology and microscopy to discover the functions of newly-identified components of the meiotic machinery.
