Job Description
We are looking to recruit a flexible and adaptable library assistant to support various contracts, part-time, for 16 hours a week as follows:
Tuesday and Thursday 8am to 5pm
Based from HMP Littlehey, our Library Assistants are responsible for carrying out routine library duties such as lending, shelving, developing displays and supporting customers with diverse library and information requirements, under the direction of our Library Manager.
The role provides a support service to customers to assist with their reading choices and online services and is responsible for handling queries, signposting appropriately and providing guidance and direction to enable customers to locate the required information. The role also contributes to outreach library services, events and programmes.
