About the Role as a Learning Support Assistant
Activate Learning is recruiting a caring and motivated Learning Support Assistant to join our specialist team based at our brand new Vocational and Lifeskills Hub for Post-16 learners with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities in Wokingham.
You will be supporting young people aged 16-25 with complex needs to re-engage in education through personalised, therapeutic, and vocational pathways.
Your responsibilities will include:
Support learners across Engagement, Employment (vocational/supported internships), and Academic pathways
Work with teachers to raise attainment and promote independence, confidence, and social inclusion
Provide support in class, small groups, and 1:1
Assist with personalised learning programmes linked to EHCP targets
Adapt materials to support literacy, numeracy, and communication needs
