The Laundry Worker ensures a consistent supply of clean linen to nursing units by transporting, weighing, packing, and counting linen, while safely handling heavy rolling carts of soiled and clean items between nursing units and the loading dock.
**Responsibilities**
+ Deliver clean linen to nursing units according to established schedules and procedures.
+ Pick up soiled linen carts from nursing units and transport them safely to the loading dock.
+ Handle and maneuver soiled rolling carts that can weigh approximately 500–600 pounds using proper techniques and equipment.
+ Weigh clean linen deliveries to verify quantities and maintain accurate records.
+ Pack linen into nursing unit carts in an organized and efficient manner to meet unit needs.
