Job Summary

Under general direction, designs set‑ups and conducts experimental programs and accurately obtains and records data; fabricates experimental apparatus. Performs R&D assignments that are not standardized or prescribed. May make modifications to experimental set‑ups, troubleshoot, and correct equipment malfunctions as necessary, and provide oral and written status reports.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a wide range of test procedures on equipment to the applicable standards and interpret the results.
• Determine and review which tests are required, the order in which to perform tests, and the number of samples required.
• Perform tests and calculations, compile data and summarize test results into test reports and checklists.
