Junior Quantity Surveyor

Overview of responsibilities:

Materials:

• After the first quote is approved, create & check specifications to main contract quote & contract.
• Analyse tender drawings and check for errors, then suggest to draughting department the appropriate changes. For example, details, materials, quantities, etc.
• Take off and measure buildings in great detail in order to get exact material requirements. This is done according to specific measuring spreadsheets.
• Compare costing to material measured in terms of quality vs quality vs cost.
• Compile a comprehensive Material / Loading Schedule of all materials
• Distribute material schedules to purchasing department, site managers & factory.

• Source quotes for sub-contracting items and negotiate on price where possible.
