Job Description
Step into a rewarding role as a Junior HSE Specialist with IKO Industries in Brampton, Ontario. This position focuses on the implementation and continual improvement of health and safety programs across the plant.
Reporting to both the Plant Manager and the Director of Health, Safety & Environment, you will engage actively with shop floor personnel to monitor safety practices and provide guidance. Candidates should be adept at incident investigation, risk assessment, and creating a culture of safety within the team. Responsibilities include compliance audits, training sessions, and facilitating safety initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead daily safety meetings with site leadership
• Interact with operators to promote safe work behavior
• Identify and evaluate unsafe conditions or practices
• Assist in conducting safety training and toolbox talks
• Monitor completion of action items from safety audits
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
