Job Description
Join our team in Leduc, Alberta as a Journeyman Field Support Technician. This role demands mechanical expertise in diesel systems and travel to remote drilling locations.
As a Field Support Technician, you'll perform major mechanical and electrical diagnostics on drilling equipment. The position requires a valid Journeyman Heavy Duty Equipment Technician/Mechanic Certificate along with strong troubleshooting abilities, particularly with Cat, Detroit, and Cummins engines. Traveling to various remote locations will be necessary for servicing drilling rigs across Alberta, BC, Saskatchewan, and the US.
Key Responsibilities:
• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, and mud pumps
• Manage service truck and ensure proper equipment stocking
• Create and manage work orders for equipment tracking
• Utilize electronic testing equipment for repairs
• Document valve set intervals and manage parts lists
