Pay: £20-£25 per hour (PAYE)

Location: HMP Manchester (Vetting checks required)

Hours: Monday to Friday

Start: As soon as possible

Main Purpose

To carry out joinery work within but not exclusively in the joinery workshop.

Responsibilities

• Carry out joinery work (e.g., stairs, doors, windows, signposts, formwork, other bespoke timber items)
• Measure and quote for works
• Order materials
• Maintain stock of Building Maintenance material
• Fit out company vehicles for other departments
• Organise and plan daily work with the supervisor, record and submit all details of work carried out on relevant work orders
• Drive a vehicle if necessary, carry out daily vehicle checks and complete associated paperwork
• Responsible for joinery workshop maintenance: maintain machines, statutory inspections, housekeeping and cleanliness
