Job Description
Help preserve the cultural and natural beauty of Mount McKay-Anemki Wajiw as a Senior Mountain Keeper. This seasonal position offers rewarding duties over a 6-8 week period.
As a Senior Mountain Keeper, you’ll work under the Culture and Recreation Coordinator to maintain and enhance the grounds of Mount McKay. Your role includes mowing, beautifying areas, and assisting with summer cultural events. Safety gear such as helmets and gloves will be provided for all tasks to ensure your protection on the job.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain lawns and cut grass using mowers
• Beautify the mountain and scenic lookout
• Support culture-focused summer events
• Collect plants, medicines, and birch bark
• Perform all tasks safely and efficiently
Requirements:
• Commitment to working outdoors
• No formal qualifications necessary
• Attentive to detail and cultural practices
• Willingness to learn about local flora
