Join our team as an Employment Counsellor/Job Developer, focusing on enhancing job opportunities for justice-involved individuals. This full-time role requires evening and weekend availability.
You will report directly to the Employment Services Team Lead while delivering a variety of pre-employment and job development support. This position involves proactive engagement with local employers through in-person, phone, and virtual channels to create job placements. Your role will be vital in retaining employment for clients and providing the necessary counselling throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate employment counselling in both individual and group formats
• Network with local employers to generate job opportunities
• Assist clients with employment retention strategies
• Assess individual client needs and career aspirations
