BASIC FUNCTION
Reporting to the IT Operations Manager, the County of Wellington has an opening for a co‑op student within the IT division of the Office of the CAO. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced developers to assist with the development and support of our in‑house developed applications and reports.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the supervision of the IT Operations Manager, the IT Developer Co‑op Student has the following duties and responsibilities:
- Researches, develops and implements modifications to existing systems according to the established standards.
- Writes unit tests for existing and new systems.
- Provides technical support.
- Performs technical analysis work including development, problem resolution and root‑cause analysis across multiple products and platforms.
- Recommends solutions to enhance the automation and efficiency of operations and/or reduce costs.
