The Monitoring Administrator is responsible for administering application-focused monitoring environments, leveraging tools such as Splunk and ServiceNow Event Management for pattern detection, as well as ServiceNow Incident Management to support ITIL processes. Responsibilities include maintaining the current monitoring environments, driving process improvements, and supporting evaluations of alternative monitoring solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitoring Platform Administration
Design, deploy, and maintain Splunk Cloud environments.
Configure indexers, search heads, forwarders, deployment servers, and clustering.
Manage data ingestion pipelines, parsing, indexing, and retention policies.
Ensure platform scalability, availability, and performance.
Data & Use Case Development
Onboard new data sources (logs, metrics, events, APIs, cloud services).
