Intermediate Engineer – Structures, Energy

Responsibilities

• Design for building structure projects in substations and generating stations
• Design for civil discipline projects for substations for Hydro-Québec, or for other clients in Canada and the United States
• Design transmission towers (pylons) for Hydro-Québec
• Conduct surveys and inspections in collaboration with other disciplines
• Prepare drawings and specifications, and prepare quantity and cost estimates
• Contribute to structural assessments/expert reports for reinforced concrete and steel structures
• Verify the compliance of drawings, calculations and technical data sheets
• Ensure quality follow-up of work and respond to site correspondence
• Supervise the updating of as-built / final drawings
• Lead and supervise a small technical team (CPI, technicians, draftspeople) within projects
• Monitor project schedules and collaborate on budget control with the project manager
