The Integrated Business Planning (IBP) is a decision-making process that aligns a company's strategy, demand, supply, and financials through a focused planning approach.
The result is a single operating plan that senior leadership holds their teams accountable for achieving.
IBP connects functions and teams to a unified plan, to expect capacity needs to fulfill demand while reaching goals like increased speed, reduced operating costs and maximized capacity utilization.
The team analyzed MX Ops' mid and long-term planning mechanisms and identified four key opportunities:
1) Lack of support in reaching demand projections,
2) Planning coordination by non-local stakeholders,
3) Difficulty in gaining an end-to-end business visibility, and
4) Infrequent planning cycles without follow-up.
