• Places linen and other hospital items in laundry containers for transport to the laundry area
• Sorts laundry items for infectious and non-infectious laundry
• Counts and records number of laundry items for in house or outsourced laundry.
• Separates linen or hospital items that need repair and / or special treatment and forward it to the tailor and/or Laundry staff for immediate action.
• Ensures high standards of cleanliness the Linen and Scrub suit.

Laundry Process

• Knowledgeable in proper laundry washing process: either handwash or use of washing machine
• Ensures the thorough washing, cleaning, and removal of stains of all laundry items
• Able to handle laundry items with care
• Dries or hangs laundry after laundry process
