**Job Summary and Qualifications**
**The Histology Technician is responsible for the prompt and accurate identification, preparation, staining and other procedures required for the performance of quality histology and cytology procedures.**
**What you will do in this role:**
+ **The Histology Technician is authorized to perform the following:**
+ **Identify, log and maintain the integrity of specimens, maintaining files of slides and blocks.**
+ **Process, cut and stain tissue blocks.**
+ **Prepare and cut frozen sections.**
+ **Prepare cytological specimens.**
+ **Prepare reagents, stains and solutions.**
+ **Perform special procedures: Thin needle, lymph node clearing, decalcific...
