Tile Mason Job Description

The Tile Mason is accountable for the installation and arrangement of tiles made from various materials such as ceramic, porcelain, marble, granite, or glass. This role involves preparing surfaces, precise tile placement, grouting, cutting, and finishing tasks to achieve a professional appearance and long‑lasting quality.

Primary Responsibilities

• Evaluate and prepare surfaces for tiling including cleaning, leveling and waterproofing
• Measure and mark surfaces for tile layout
• Utilize hand or power tools to cut tiles to fit around obstacles and edges
• Mix and apply adhesives such as thin‑set mortar
• Lay tiles in the desired pattern with accuracy and consistent spacing
• Apply grout between tiles and clean the completed surfaces
• Repair or replace damaged tiles
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and client specifications
