Afrikaans FET Language Teacher – High School Job Description

We invite applications from suitably qualified and experienced teachers for the following post:

Only applicants with Afrikaans FET teaching (Including Grade 12) will be shortlisted.

To assume duty Term 1 – 2026.

Minimum criteria for the above position are:

• · Afrikaans as home-language
• · A teaching qualification/degree with the appropriate subject specialization
• · At least 3 years' experience in teaching Afrikaans FAL at FET level
• · Co and extra – curricular involvement
• · Registration with SACE
• · Police clearance certificate or proof of application
• · Competency in the use of technology in the classroom and educational online platforms
• · Fully bilingual
• · A team player
• · A track record of excellence
