ATCO Frontec is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in Resolute Bay, Nunavut. The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment used in the construction and maintenance of roads, buildings and other structures as well as material handling work.
This position is based on a week on, week off work rotation with travel, accommodation, and meals are provided.
Responsibilities:
Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, dump trucks, backhoes, bulldozers, loaders and graders to excavate, move, load and grade earth, rock, and gravelOperate snow blowers and plough trucks to remove snow from roads and parking lotsOperate heavy equipment to spread or compact road surface materials during road construction and maintenanceOperate heavy equipment to move, load and unload cargoConduct pre-operational checks on equipment and clean, lubricate and refill equipment
