Overview

Reporting to the Mobile Maintenance Supervisor, the Apprentice Heavy Duty Mechanic will provide quality maintenance, repairs, and component changes for mining fleet equipment under the direction of a Journeyperson.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair mine equipment.
• Maximize equipment availability through efficient and proactive preventative maintenance programs.
• Perform preventative maintenance such as inspections, lubricating, oil changes, and failure analysis.
• Diagnose faults and malfunctions and carry out necessary repairs including major component replacement, repair, or rebuild.
• Comply with all Safety, Health, Environmental, and other policies, procedures and requirements.
