Job Description
Elevate patient care at STEGH as a Health Information Coder Tech II. This full-time role focuses on coding, abstracting data, and collaborating with health providers.
As an essential member of our healthcare team, the Health Information Coder Tech II interacts with medical staff and management to ensure accurate coding for Inpatient, Day Surgery, and Emergency cases. You'll be responsible for reporting data to the Canadian Institute for Health Information and the Ministry of Health while performing Release of Information and Quality Assurance tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform coding and abstracting for various cases
• Interact effectively with medical and health teams
• Ensure accurate data reporting to relevant authorities
• Conduct Release of Information and QA duties
• Adapt to dynamic department requirements as needed
