Job Description

Package description: Shift details: 7 am – 5:30 pm.

Job responsibilities

  • Prepare modified diets that look appealing, are well-balanced, and comply with IDDSI guidance.
  • Place food orders with approved suppliers, maintain appropriate stock levels and control, and purchase goods within agreed budget limits.
  • Supervise kitchen staff, instruct and demonstrate simple food‑preparation activities to unqualified staff, and direct the work of the host team.
  • Practice safe systems of work, including safe handling of loads and risk assessment for the personal safety of residents, visitors, and staff.
  • Ensure safe work practices and maintain a clean, efficient kitchen environment.
  • Control and monitor the kitchen budget.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years managing a culinary team in the care or hospitality sectors.
